It’s been a long wait, but college basketball season is just a few short weeks away; and UVA is ready to be a force in both the ACC and Nationally.

The preseason poll has UVA currently ranked fourteen in the nation; and for good reasons.

This year’s squad has four starters returning from a team that won thirty games last season.

However, thirty wins this season may turn out to be a challenge because Odom scheduled five nonconference games with the likes of Arkansas, Kentucky, UConn (at Madison Square Garden); Villanova, Marquette and Xavier….both Arkansas and UConn are highly ranked nationally.

Then there is Duke, the perennial kingpin of the ACC and chief nemesis of the Cavaliers…but I have a feeling that is going to change this coming season because the boys are now men.

So, sit back and enjoy the Hoos’ season.
